NASHVILLE, TN, UNITED STATES, August 12, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- CFA Society Nashville, the leading association of local investment professionals, started its new fiscal year by welcoming three distinguished leaders to its Board of Directors: Loren Asmus, CFA; Thomas Galgano, CFA; and Sofia Goryn, CFA, effective July 1, 2026.

Each brings valuable experience, fresh perspectives, and a commitment to advancing the Society’s mission of serving the investment community throughout Middle Tennessee. In a joint statement, the CFA Society Nashville Board of Directors said: “We are excited to welcome Loren Asmus, Thomas Galgano, and Sofia Goryn to the Board and look forward to their contributions in the years ahead.”

Loren Asmus, CFA, CAIA
Loren is currently Head of Investor Relations with UTXO Management. Prior to this, he was Vice President, Investment Research, with Canterbury Consulting. Mr. Asmus is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton. He is excited to volunteer his time as a way to contribute back to our community.

Thomas Galgano, CFA, CAIA
Thomas was most recently Market Leader with The Vanguard Group. Also Board Director of CFA Society Washington, DC, Mr. Galgano is a graduate of Villanova University. He has been very active as a community leader committed to investor education and professional excellence.

Sofia Goryn, CFA, MA
Sofia is currently Chief Financial Officer and Head of Investments with Skela Financial. Ms. Goryn brings business strategy, governance, communications, and financial sector expertise through her 20+ years distinguished investment industry career in progressively senior roles, mostly with the major banks. She is past Board Director of CFA Society Toronto, where she led multiple Committees and served as Executive Editor of The Analyst, a member magazine.

The Board of Directors serves a critical leadership role by providing strategic direction to carry out the Society's mission and vision, delivering value to its members in a rapidly changing investment environment, and promoting high ethical standards for the enhancement of the investment profession.
