CALGARY, ALBERTA, CANADA, September 15, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Recently Retired Astronaut Colonel Jeremy Hansen to Deliver Keynote at PMI Southern Alberta Chapter's PDC 2026

PMI-SAC is among the first organizations to bring the Artemis II crew member to the stage since his retirement from the Canadian Space Agency, headlining “Elevating Leadership” on November 27, 2026 at WinSport.

The Project Management Institute Southern Alberta Chapter (PMI-SAC) announced that Jeremy Hansen, who recently retired from his full-time role as a Canadian Space Agency astronaut, will deliver the closing keynote address at PDC 2026: Elevating Leadership, taking place November 27, 2026 at WinSport in Calgary. PMI-SAC is proud to be among the first organizations to welcome Hansen to a public stage in Calgary since his transition out of the CSA.

The PDC is a one-day conference that brings together project managers, directors, vice presidents, and executives from oil and gas, technology, government, healthcare, non-profit, professional services, and construction for a full program of keynotes, panels, and workshops.

In April 2026, Jeremy Hansen flew around the Moon as part of NASA’s Artemis II mission, becoming the first Canadian, and the first non-American, in history to travel beyond low-Earth orbit. After 32 years of military service and 17 years as a CSA astronaut, he stepped back from his full-time CSA role this September, transitioning into a reservist role with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He now brings that experience to the stage, offering Calgary’s business and project leadership community a firsthand account of leading high-stakes teams where the margin for error is zero.

PDC 2026 is built around the theme “Elevating Leadership,” a call for leaders across sectors to move beyond the operational and reactive and into leadership that is strategic, human, adaptive, and globally aware.

Few leaders operate with zero margin for error. Jeremy Hansen has, and he's bringing those lessons directly to Calgary's leadership & project management community. Building that kind of discipline doesn't happen overnight, it takes time, rigorous preparation, and the discipline to get the fundamentals right when the stakes are high,” said Santhush de Silva, PDC Chair, PMI Southern Alberta Chapter.

“We are honoured to welcome Jeremy Hansen to Calgary. His story speaks directly to the resilience, discipline, and vision our members bring to their own work every day,” said John Moura, President, PMI Southern Alberta Chapter.

Registration for PDC 2026 is open now. Details on pricing, sessions, and the full conference agenda are available at pmisac.com/pdc.
